Joseph L. Jordan is a former Army JAG who now defends Soldiers, Sailors, Airmen, Marines, Guardians, and Coast Guard personnel in General, Special, and Summary Courts-Martial worldwide. A ten-year Army veteran who served both as an enlisted soldier and officer, he worked as a prosecutor at Fort Cavazos (Fort Hood) and with the 2nd Infantry Division in Korea before establishing his private practice in 2011. He represents clients through every stage of the military justice process, including Article 32 hearings, criminal investigations by CID, NCIS, OSI, and CGIS, contested trials, and post-trial matters such as clemency and appeals. His practice also covers administrative separation boards, boards of inquiry, non-judicial punishment under Article 15, and security clearance cases.
Mr. Jordan’s approach is direct and trial-focused. He emphasizes early intervention, urging service members to seek legal counsel the moment they become subjects of investigation. By acting quickly, he helps preserve Article 31(b) rights, protect careers and benefits, and build a strong defense strategy. Clients may retain Jordan as lead civilian counsel while keeping their detailed military defense attorney, creating a combined defense team with maximum resources. Based in the Fort Cavazos and Killeen, Texas area, he travels worldwide to represent service members stationed in the United States, Europe, Asia-Pacific, the Middle East, Africa, and Latin America.
